Cookish Saves Thanksgiving
Every Thanksgiving spread needs dishes that come together quickly and please a crowd. Join us to learn two perfect sides.
About this Event
Thanksgiving sides can go one of two ways. Either they’re afterthoughts, mere obligations alongside a showstopping turkey and before the promise of pie. Or, they’re the things that everyone reaches to for seconds and thirds, a source of much-needed balance and brightness on a day that can tend toward the heavy. In this class, Milk Street recipe developer Courtney Hill will teach you two dishes from our newest book, “Cookish,” that are guaranteed to fall into the latter category. First, nutty bulgur is the base of a grain side which gets perked up with pomegranate molasses, lemon juice and scallions. Then, we borrow the flavors of classic stuffing, but none of the mess or mushy texture, for a celery-forward salad with plenty of crunch and big handfuls of refreshing herbs. The best part? These sides each come together in under 30 minutes, have just six ingredients apiece, won’t use up any precious oven space, and are great served at room temperature. Join us to learn how a Cookish approach can simplify your Thanksgiving without compromising flavor.
Bonus: All attendees of this class will receive a one-time $15 coupon to the Milk Street Store after class.
