More about the artist:
“Andréa Lisa started singing as a young child, particularly influenced by the sounds of Soul, Jazz and RnB in her family home. Her love of the guitar and vocals knows no bounds.
Early on she explored classical music, and later on she discovered a love for jazz. A graduate of the New Zealand School of Music, Andréa holds a Bachelor of Music majoring in jazz guitar and vocals. In 2011, she formed her own band and recorded her debut EP called “So Sweet”. The band completed several performance contracts around the world and played in various venues for six years straight.
Andréa hails from a town called Kinross in South Africa, an hour outside of Johannesburg. Her and her family relocated to New Zealand when she was 8 years old. Since the age of 15, Andréa has been writing music and lyrics, some of her influence’s include Kirk Whalum, John Mayer, Jojo and Emily King. Her love of song-writing and composition has taken her on a musical journey where she incorporates many different genres.
A multi-dimensional performer, Andréa is solidifying her status as a recording artist and songwriter in Hollywood, California. She has worked with artists like Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Ralph Johnson (Earth Wind & Fire), George Brown (Kool & the Gang), Ray Crossley (Marvin Gaye, El Debarge).”
